Final Assignment
The final project, titled "3D Robot Design (Human Like Robot)," aims to create an original 3D robot model suitable for animation, games, or digital art. The robot must exhibit humanoid characteristics, such as two legs and two arms; designs resembling drones or purely mechanical structures will not be accepted. This project integrates Module Learning Outcomes (MLO), aligned with Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO) and Taylor's Graduate Capabilities (TGC), emphasizing the adaptation of skills to new contexts, technical expression, critical thinking, and the application of information and communication technology (ICT).
Analysis of Learning Objectives
The project strengthens students' digital literacy and design capabilities through five key aspects:
- Effective Use of ICT Tools: Students are required to utilize platforms such as Google Images, Pinterest, ArtStation, and YouTube to research real-world objects, mechanical systems, or artistic references. These references must be incorporated into the portfolio to support the inspiration for the robot design.
- Information Screening and Evaluation: Distinguish between relevant and irrelevant materials, and make design decisions based on analytical insights. This necessitates a critical examination of references to ensure they directly contribute to the development of the humanoid robot concept.
- Resource Selection and Management: Organize reference boards or mood boards using systematic methods to select, test, and evaluate resources. This underscores the importance of structured workflows.
